Background:
Hello Celtic Family,
We are a team of 18 proud members of our Global Celtic Family, brought together by our love of cycling and, more importantly, by our shared belief in the power of Celtic FC Foundation to change lives.
For many of us, this journey is about much more than the miles ahead. It’s about connection, resilience, and giving something back to a community that has always been there for us.
In 2017, members of our wider group cycled to Lisbon to honour the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions raising over £74,000—a truly unforgettable experience that showed us what can be achieved when the Celtic Family pulls together. In 2020, we had planned another special journey to Milan, but like so many things, COVID-19 took that opportunity away from us.
Still, the spirit never faded. In 2023, our group cycled to Seville and raised an incredible £100,000 for the Foundation. Even those who couldn’t be there physically showed that there are many ways to contribute, and that the strength of this community goes far beyond the road.
Basel to Milan:
Now, we ride again.
This time, 18 of us will take on the journey from Basel to Milan—not just to complete a challenge that was once left unfinished, but to make a real and lasting difference. Every climb will test us. Every mile will demand something of us. But we will ride together, driven by purpose and by the knowledge that what we’re doing truly matters.

Project Beneficiary:
The funds we raise will go towards supporting the Paradise Recovery Café—a safe, compassionate space that offers hope, understanding, and vital support to those on their recovery journey. It’s a place where people are welcomed without judgement, where lives are rebuilt, and where the spirit of community—so central to everything Celtic stands for—shines brightest.
This is why we ride.
When the road gets tough, we’ll think of the people who benefit from the Foundation’s work. We’ll think of the difference this support can make. And we’ll keep going—not just for ourselves, but for them.
Because together, as a team and as a Celtic Family, we can do something truly special.

Celtic FC Foundation – Paradise Recovery Cafe:
Celtic FC Foundation is proud to announce that all funds raised through our cycling challenges and fundraising events will be ring-fenced to help sustain and grow the Paradise Recovery Café initiative.
The Paradise Recovery Café is a vital programme dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey of recovery from substance abuse, mental health challenges, trauma, and homelessness. Operating on a weekly basis, the café provides a safe and welcoming environment for approximately 30 adults each week, offering:
- Peer support and guidance
- Pathways into recovery communities
- A warm meal and a sense of belonging
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful change and supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Every mile cycled and every pound donated will directly contribute to sustaining this life-changing programme.
Our group aims to raise over £40,000 which is the cost of hosting the Cafe for one year.
Join us in making a difference. Your support helps us provide hope, dignity, and a fresh start for those who need it most.
