Folks,
Thank you for visiting the site where we aim to provide regular updates on the progress of the Road to Milan cycle challenge
The Road to Milan – Day 07 – Part 02 – San Siro, Milan to Hotel
After 7 epic days on the bike the team would reach San Siro having cycled close to 500 miles and having climbed close to thirty seven thousand feet, everyone was buzzing with excitement and joy.
The sun really did have it’s hat on today with average temperatures across the day at 33 degrees hitting a max at 44 degrees.

This sort of weather would be tough on most, but intensively more so for the folks cycling since earlier this morning.
With the entire team assembled just before 15:00 CET, there was finally a moment to pause without falling of the bike… a moment to let it all sink in.
After everything the road had thrown at them, they stood together outside the San Siro — tired, sunburnt, but smiling — capturing the moment with team photos in front of one of football’s most iconic arenas.

But the day wasn’t done yet, it was time to have some fun..
Next came the Sky tour, In groups of 12, cyclists and families were led high above the stadium, stepping out onto specially constructed skywalks that stretched across the rooftops of the San Siro.
And as if the team hadn’t done enough climbing this week… the mountain followed them here too.
Step by step, they moved along the skywalk before emerging onto the roof, followed by a short decent using the iconic corner towers into the upper tier of the stadium bowl, walking across the legendary Curva Nord — a surreal moment, high above the pitch.
From there, the journey continued downward.
Trackside.
Behind the goal.
Up through the first tier.
Then across to the opposite end of the stadium

Thanks to the strong bond between Celtic Foundation and Internazionale, the team were granted access behind the scenes — into the dressing rooms, through the tunnel, and right to the edge of the pitch near the Curva Nord.
Towards the end of the day, some of the team and family took in the exhibition tour of the museum — the final layer of an unforgettable experience.
But by now, the toll of the day had fully set in.
The intense heat of the ride, combined with over three hours on their feet circling the vast footprint of the stadium, left many completely spent
Todays final cycle was a short cycle from San Siro, Milan to the team hotel in Milan
