The Road to Milan

Folks,

Thank you for visiting the site where we aim to provide regular updates on the progress of the Road to Milan cycle challenge

The Road to Milan – Day 05 – Bourg St Maurice to Pollein

After a huge day yesterday, the chat in the hotel this morning was about the zig-zags near the start of today’s route, where there would be in excess of 25 of these, helping the team ascend to the highest point of the ride at a towering 7,175 feet where the team would also have lunch stop and a chance to get a deep breath.

Today’s cycle was from Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Pollein, a small town and commune in the Aosta Valley region of north-western Italy.

The zig zag route out of Bourg St Maurice is famously known as the “Route de petit Le St Bernard” followed by “Route de la station” before the big one “Route Du Col Petit Saint Bernard” Truly amazing !
