20231223 Mouldy Goes to Seville – MGS Session 023

Folks,

Thank you for visiting the site where aim to provide regular updates of the challenge “Mouldy Goes to Seville”

In earlier sessions we explained how we would simulate the cycle, you can read about it here

Todays route

The route today took us from Enniscorthy to Mackmine

The direction of travel was running south through County Wexford

The route commenced from Enniscorthy where there are some pretty famous landmarks, including the national museum for the 1798 rebellion

We enclose a screen shot/s from bkool application of planned routes/ sessions

Progress in this session

From Strava we enclose screen shots of what was achieved in this session

Today’s cycle

Seen us make fairly balanced bumpy cycle in direction of Rosslare port which is now less than 30 miles away

These climbs ranged today from 3 to 5 percent and in between the climbs we had benefited from an element of the shallow descent

During yesterday we had identified some soreness and awkwardness, for precautionary means we had stopped today’s cycle early

This cycle is all about gradually building myself up, with a focus on sustainability where we hope to avoid any major injury relapse. You can read more about the why here.

Today’s kit

Focusing on comfort and the fact that I am a big frame, tight lycra is currently not my friend.

Therefore we decided to wear something more comfortable from the Celtic shirt collection and plan to do so for the foreseeable future

As it was rather cold today, decided to wear the comfy fleecy “The Road to Lisbon” hoodie

The kit is pictured below with a pleasant backdrop of the “The Road to Lisbon” cycling t-shirt from from the 50th Anniversary Charity cycle in 2017
