Session 018 Route
Progress in this session
From Strava we enclose screen shots of what was achieved in this session
Today’s cycle
Seen us commence the ascent of the Wicklow Mountains, the recent shorter cycles in time proved worthwhile in the preparation for today, which gradually eased us back into this.
In a short distance today, nearly 900 feet of climbing was achieved.
Percentage climbs in the most part where between 6 percent and 11 percent,
This cycle is all about gradually building myself up, with a focus on sustainability where we hope to avoid any major injury relapse. You can read more about the why here.
Today’s cycle was a little brutal and relentless. This gives a good insight in which the next 30 k of the cycle will be like.
Today’s kit
Focusing on comfort and the fact that I am a big frame, tight lycra is currently not my friend.
Therefore we decided to wear something more comfortable from the Celtic shirt collection and plan to do so for the foreseeable future
Keeping with gold theme, we had decided to select the gold and black shirt from 2011-2012
The kit is pictured below with a pleasant backdrop of the “The Road to Lisbon” cycling kit from from the 50th Anniversary Charity cycle in 2017
Kit = 2011-2012 – Away – short sleeves
