Today’s cycle
First of all, after being on holiday for the past six weeks through a combination of a holiday with my wife to celebrate our 50th birthday’s and travelling to some Celtic European away games. In summary given the health challenges in recent times it was good to have enjoyed the long break.
Whilst on holiday we had the opportunity to do some walking, hiking and indoor cycling at the gym most days to keep the legs moving.
When away we had managed to rack up some training miles, as we are following the actual GPX route to Seville, then similar to rehab work a few weeks ago we don’t plan to count those miles.
This cycle is all about gradually building myself up, with a focus on sustainability where we hope to avoid any major injury relapse. You can read more about the why here.
Today’s cycle was relatively flat and this was welcomed as we aim to get back into Seville route
Today’s kit
Focusing on comfort and the fact that I am a big frame, tight lycra is currently not my friend.
Therefore we decided to wear something more comfortable from the Celtic shirt collection and plan to do so for the foreseeable future
Keeping with gold theme and as we were in GAA world, we had decided to select a GAA top from the season 2018-2019
The kit is pictured below with a pleasant backdrop of the “The Road to Lisbon” cycling kit from from the 50th Anniversary Charity cycle in 2017
Kit = 2018-2019 GAA Tir Conaill Harps – short sleeves
