Folks,
Thank you for visiting the site where aim to provide regular updates of the challenge “Mouldy Goes to Seville”
In earlier sessions 001, 002, 003 we explained how we would simulate the cycle, you can read about it here
Todays route
The route today took us South West from Tarbolton heading in the direction of Girvan before stopping inland using the forestry roads near Mains wood.
We enclose a screen shot from my lap top which I had positioned on a music stand close to the bike which provides a high level view of the route and the expected landscape.
Progress in this session
From Strava we enclose a screen shot of what was achieved in this session
Today’s cycle
With the recent rehab work focusing on time on the bike as opposed to speed or climbing, then the past few days had been fairly tough introducing climbing !
In parts today the cycle was a grind and brutal with worst of the climbs being a long 9.4 %
Today we broke some new milestones with time elapsed being at over 105 minutes and cycle exceeding 20 miles !
In coming days we can expect more climbing and more burning in the quads !
Later today we will visit the miracle worker physio to share progress and chat about some tensions and pains.
We keep going !
Today’s kit
Focusing on comfort and the fact that I am a big frame, tight lycra is currently not my friend.
Therefore we decided to wear something more comfortable from the Celtic shirt collection and plan to do so for the foreseeable future
Last night we travelled on the Anton Rogan CSC to the big European game, this top reminds me of Anton playing for Celtic.
The kit is pictured below with a pleasant backdrop of short sleeve kit from “The Road to Lisbon 2017”
Kit = 1989 – Celtic – Away Strip – Gold “Cheese and onion”
