20260404 The Star Of Lisbon Painting Live Auction

Dear Supporter,

Attention football fans memorabilia collectors!

Following the success of our Race Night at Celtic Park on Friday 27th March, in support of the Foundation programme Paradise Recovery Café, we are delighted to share the next exciting opportunity to get involved.

We are proud to present “Star of Lisbon”, a stunning original painting generously donated to The Celtic Foundation by renowned Southside artist Paul Templeton. Paul is widely recognised for his abstract works and cityscapes, and this large acrylic-on-canvas piece (3ft x 3ft) is inspired by his recent visit to the Estádio Nacional in Lisbon. The artwork serves as a powerful tribute to Jock Stein and the Lisbon Lions of ’67, capturing both the emotion and the legacy of that historic moment.

Paul, a Wishaw-born Celtic supporter, has been painting for more than 40 years, having begun his artistic journey straight after leaving school. Working primarily by commission, he has exhibited to acclaim in Glasgow and across Scotland, earning a strong reputation for the quality and character of his work. In recent years, he has expanded his portfolio to include landscapes, abstract pieces, cityscapes and wedding venue scenes.

His works frequently sell for four‑figure sums, making this an exceptional donation and a rare opportunity for supporters and collectors alike. Paul is genuinely delighted to contribute the “Star of Lisbon” to The Celtic Foundation, and we are equally proud to share it with you.
